Service Description

Set off on an adventure combining varied landscapes, human encounters and gourmet pleasures on this 25 km bike loop. Accessible by muscular or electric mountain bike, this circuit will take you through the magnificent Ardèche landscapes passing through the hilltop village of Boffres, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding area. From Boffres, the route continues towards the heights of Châteauneuf de Vernoux and Vernoux en Vivarais, crossing green valleys and peaceful forests, typical of the region. With a height difference of 450 meters, this circuit is both accessible and full of charm, perfect for enjoying the richness of the local landscapes. La Ferme Trapier, located on the old tramway route linking Tournon to Le Cheylard, is a place steeped in history. Operated by Philippe and Florent Cros, two passionate brothers, this family farm is a model of sustainable and local agriculture. Taking over their parents' farm, initially specializing in red fruits, they chose to devote themselves to breeding Limousin cows. Their approach prioritizes quality and respect for nature: the cows graze from April to November and feed on grass and hay produced on site, without imported cereals or GMOs. During fattening, they receive a supplement of barley flour, triticale and foraged peas, also from the farm. Upon your arrival, Florent and Philippe will share with you their daily life as breeders and processors, showing you their working methods, the cutting and processing that they carry out themselves in their laboratory. Their know-how is reflected in their quality products, and this visit will end with a tasty tasting of chorizo and sausage, carefully prepared on site. What is included in this experience: • Accompaniment by an experienced guide, who will share his knowledge of the region and its treasures. • A helmet to ensure your safety. • A water bottle to keep you hydrated throughout the route. Optional: • The possibility of renting a muscular or electric mountain bike if you do not have one. Please note: • The farm does not organize visits on Sundays. This outing combines physical activity, immersion in rural life and taste pleasures. Come and discover the Ferme Trapier, a family farm committed to artisanal and authentic know-how.
